We are so thankful you are here and taking the time to learn more about our incredible school community.

Serving as principal of James Walker Elementary is a privilege, and I am proud to be part of a school community known for its strong traditions, meaningful connections, and dedication to academic excellence.

Our school has a long history of achievement and success. In 2024, James Walker Elementary was named a Distinguished School by the National ESEA in recognition of its exceptional student performance and academic growth. We were also honored as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2019 and received recognition as a Missouri Gold Star School in both 2019 and 2025. These honors reflect the hard work of our students, staff, and families and our continued dedication to student achievement.

At JWE, greatness truly happens every day. While we are proud of our accomplishments, what makes our school exceptional is our people. Our dedicated staff works each day to create engaging learning experiences, build strong relationships, and provide opportunities for every child to thrive. Our students inspire us daily with their hard work, perseverance, and enthusiasm for learning. We are equally grateful for the incredible support of our families and community members who pour into our school, volunteer their time, and partner with us to help every child succeed. Together, we make JWE a place where students feel supported, celebrated, and empowered to reach their full potential.
